I built a Voice-to-Post AI Agent, and it works!

How to create posts in seconds without typing. Inspiration is all it takes!

Reading time: 3 min

Best ideas often come when I’m walking, on the metro, or anywhere else without a keyboard.

I often say: “I’ll write it down later”, but by the time I sit down to write… the idea’s gone.

So, as I was playing with n8n and thinking about useful AI workflows and AI agents to build, I decided to build this easy mini-AI agent (AI workflow, to be very precise) that turns my voice notes into ready-to-post LinkedIn/X content.

It’s fast, consistent, and I can prompt the AI to use a specific tone of voice or writing style.

What It Does

Here's what my Voice-to-Post Agent does:

🎙 I record my voice message in Telegram.

🤖 AI transcribes and rewrites in the tone I prompt (in my case, I prompt it to write like Justin Welsh, for fun).

📝 It saves the post to Google Docs.

✅ I get a Telegram confirmation that the post is ready.

Easy. Just ideas, captured and cleaned up.

The Telegram bot.

The Tech Behind It

Built entirely with n8n + OpenAI.

  • Whisper transcribes my voice

  • GPT turns it into a max 100-word post

  • Google Docs saves the draft

  • Telegram triggers it + confirms it's done

Took just a few hours to build it.

I’d say the magic is also in the right prompt.

Here’s the automation flow from n8n.

Overcoming procrastination starts with honesty.

Ask yourself: Why am I postponing?

What makes me avoid this task?

Don't mute those inner voices.

Face reality head-on.

Seeing the truth often reveals solutions.

It's the first step to breaking the procrastination habit.

Insights & Next Steps

So many people focus on building a personal brand these days, but what they struggle with is consistency, not ideas.

This kind of “personal AI agent” can help bridge the gap between inspiration and execution.

My view on it: If the post is shared publicly, it’s a good idea to mention a disclaimer.

For transparency, I added a line to each post:

Ideas are mine, but the AI assistant writes them.

Of course, there’s always the quality vs. quantity debate.

Well, no one said the ideas shared as a voice note cannot be good ones.

And sure, we raise the question: isn’t writing actually helpful? It is and shouldn’t be replaced.

But these days, speed matters, and sometimes we need tools, systems, or flows that help us move faster.

As next steps, this can easily be transformed into:

  • a weekly post planning,

  • auto-scheduling directly on platforms.

For now, I will keep it simple and play with it as it is.

Not sure I’d schedule a post without checking it before.

Let me know what you think about this mini-project.

I’ll build more and share them here.

Until next time!

Hugs,
Silvia
