35 Before 35: An Unusual Experiment

A bold, soulful, and wildly curious life map.

Reading time: 3 min

My previous post was about setting personal values to help us operate in daily life and become the version of ourselves we aspire to be.

It’s July 3, and since I started talking about designing life in quarters, I couldn’t let the beginning of this second half of the year pass without a proper reflection.

Funny enough, I’m not writing about goals for this next quarter or the rest of the year, but something bigger. A personal experiment that mixes curiosity and boldness, two traits I want to keep nurturing as I grow, both as a person and as a woman.

It started with a few things I knew I wanted to do. For growth. For fun. To create memories. To learn how to live more fully.
And then the idea came:
What if I made a list of 35 things I want to do before I turn 35?

Some are wild. Some are quiet, cozy, and not special at all. Some are just for me.
It doesn’t include all my professional or personal goals, and maybe in a year I won’t resonate with some of them anymore. But that’s fine. That’s overthinking. For now, it feels right, and it challenges me to take action.

I’m sharing just a few of them here, the ones I feel comfortable putting out there for now.
Part of it is learning to be okay with building and learning in public.
We’re so often praised only for the results, and only if we get the results, that we forget it’s really about the journey.

Maybe sharing this also helps with accountability. Or maybe someone who reads it will send an opportunity my way that helps me check one off.

Here’s the handwritten snapshot 👇

The list :)

Maybe it inspires you to write your own list.
Or to revisit that quiet voice inside that says, “Let’s try something different.”

P.S. Should I document the journey for some of them?

Until next time!

Hugs,
Silvia
